Thu 26 Nov · Research workshop: AI in firms, work and innovation

Papers, work in progress and early ideas are welcome, on four themes: how firms in China and Denmark actually adopt AI, who decides, what gets automated and what stays with people; AI, tasks and skills, including job postings and what employers ask for; measuring AI diffusion with indicators comparable across countries; and innovation networks, value chains and regional clusters linking China and Europe. Case studies, interview studies and methods papers fit; no finished econometrics needed. Each presentation gets feedback from a discussant and the group, and we mix Chinese and Danish participants in the discussions. We close with a session on possible joint papers and research stays. You can also attend without presenting.
欢迎论文、在研工作和初步构想，围绕四个主题：中丹企业如何实际应用AI，由谁决策、哪些任务被自动化、哪些仍由人承担；AI、任务与技能，包括招聘广告与雇主需求；用可跨国比较的指标测度AI扩散；以及连接中国与欧洲的创新网络、价值链与区域集群。案例研究、访谈研究和方法类报告均可，不要求已完成计量分析。每个报告都会获得评议人及与会者的反馈，讨论环节将中丹参与者混合分组。最后一起探讨合作论文与研究访问的可能性。不做报告也可参加。

Can I register for only one day? · 可以只报名其中一天吗？
Yes. Register for one day or both. You can attend the research workshop without presenting.

Do I need to code? · 需要会编程吗？
No. Without coding, you follow the workflow in the AI chatbot you already use. If you code, you run our notebooks.
不需要。不编程的话，可以用您常用的AI对话工具完成同样的流程；会编程的话，可以运行我们提供的代码笔记本（notebook）。
Do I need to buy an AI service? · 需要购买AI服务吗？
No. The AI chatbot you already use is enough, Chinese or Western; most of them work for the methods we show. If you code, we provide API access for the day.

What language is it in? · 使用什么语言？
The training is in English. At the methods fair you can also present in Chinese in a Chinese-language group, and we help if language is an issue.

Both days run from 9:30 to 16:30. Lunch, coffee and snacks are provided.

Everyone registers by 20 November. If you want to present, register by 15 November and add your abstract in the form. We publish the programme, with the accepted presentations, by 22 November.

Can I show my own method on day 1? · 可以在第一天展示自己的方法吗？
Yes, students and researchers alike. Tick “I would like to show a method” in the form and describe it in a few lines. Prepare it as a notebook or a short walkthrough (about 10 minutes) so others can try it. We may split into groups, including a Chinese-language group.

The event is at the SDC building on the UCAS Yanqihu campus in Huairou. From Beijing you can take the UCAS shuttle bus; otherwise please arrange your own transport.

Aalborg University (Denmark) keeps your registration on its own server, uses it only to organise this event and the report to the funder, and deletes it by the end of 2026. Under GDPR you can ask to see or delete it at any time via the question form.
